What we'll need from you
To prepare a quote, the Oswal engineering team needs the following from your operations team:
- •Kiln dimensions: inside diameter, length, inclination, rotational speed
- •Process and atmosphere: cement clinker, lime, metallurgical, chemical, or other; reducing, oxidising, or neutral atmosphere
- •Operating temperature at the interface to be sealed (inlet, outlet, axial, radial)
- •Current seal configuration if any, and the reason for replacement (wear, false air leakage, retrofit upgrade)
- •Last false air measurement if available, plus any associated fuel consumption or ID fan power data
- •Plant location and target shutdown window for installation
If you do not yet have these numbers, the Oswal Engineering Consulting & Audit service measures them at your site.
Typical response time
Initial acknowledgement within one business day. A complete proposal within five business days of receiving full kiln data. For urgent shutdown windows, expedited proposals can be arranged on request.
What you'll receive
Within five business days of receiving complete kiln data, the Oswal team will deliver:
- A scoped sealing system proposal (product variant, configuration, and rationale)
- A budgetary price range
- A retrofit feasibility note: structural changes needed if any, plus installation duration
- An estimated false air reduction range with expected fuel and ID fan power impact
- A draft commercial proposal with delivery and payment terms

At a minimum: kiln diameter, seal position (inlet/outlet/both), and your industry. Dimensional drawings and site survey data allow us to provide a full engineering quotation. If you don't have all of this, submit what you have and our team will follow up with specific questions.
Budget estimates are provided within 2–3 business days. Full engineering quotations, which require dimensional review, typically take 5–10 business days depending on the complexity of the application.
Engineered Duplex kiln sealing systems typically ship 8–14 weeks after order confirmation, including detailed engineering, manufacturing, and quality inspection. Spare sealing elements and wear parts are generally 4–8 weeks. Expedited delivery can be arranged for urgent shutdown windows.
